I currently work under supervision of Dr. Miroslav Krstić on developing sensorless control algorithms for synchronous generators, optimal modulation strategies for multi-level inverters, and minimization algorithms to reduce total harmonic distortion in power electronics systems.

Research Interests

  1. Control and Optimization Algorithms
  2. Distributed supervisory control design, component swapping modularity, linear matrix inequalities, extremum seeking, sliding mode control, and nonlinear optimization.

  3. Energy Systems and Power Networks
  4. Aggregate modeling and control of responsive loads, energy management, demand response, load forecasting, photovoltaic systems, wind energy conversion systems, combined cycle generators, induction machines, synchronous machines, power electronics theory, multi-level cascade inverters, and DC-DC converters.

  5. Mechatronics and Manufacturing Systems
  6. High-precision motion control and contouring, cross-coupling control, contour error estimation, distributed servo-systems, and flexible-link robots.
