National Science Foundation
May 31-June 1, 1999
GENERAL INFORMATION: The workshop will be held during the two days preceding the 1999 American Control Conference (ACC) in San Diego. All participants of ACC are invited to attend. Even though no registration fee will be charged for the workshop, for planning purpose we request RSVP by May 1 to Workshop Secretary, Edith Juanengo (ejuanengo@ames.ucsd.edu). ACC attendees are encouraged to book the same hotel they plan to use for ACC.
PURPOSE: The rate of progress and investment into actuator/sensor technology for flow control has created an unprecedented situation in which the theory is lagging behind experimentation. The objective of the workshop is to thrust the control-theoretic and computational expertise in this field towards problems with technology-enabling impact.
