In part (b) replace the words "minimize the system error r-y" by "minimize the system output y".  You are essentially minimizing the system error, when the reference signal is zero (r = 0).

In part (d), also assume beta = 1 when comparing magnitude (log scale) vs. frequency plots (linear scale).
